An accountant

Finances are often where people go wrong when they set up their business. After all, if you don’t get them in order, you could be creating debt straight away. Therefore, you need to get in control of your money by hiring an accountant. They will take care of all money matters when it comes to the business. You can just pass on any receipts to them, and they will inform you if you are heading into your overdraft. An accountant also comes in useful when you need to do taxes for your business. After all, it can be very complicated! You can easily find an account who will take on your books for a small monthly cost. Or there are some online that you can hire on a freelance basis too.

A good premises

If you are not going to work from home, it’s a good idea to find some form of facilities straight away. You want to choose somewhere that will allow your business to grow without you having to find new haunts. But at the same time, you don’t want to go for somewhere too large that will be out of budget. You ought to consider office sharing as it’s a cheaper way if you do share with another business. Also, you should get a three or six-month contract on the premises. That way, if your business fails, you can end it sooner rather than later.

A credit card reader

Even if you do not have a shop as part of your business, you need to make sure you get hold of some kind of credit card reader. That way, you can process credit cards without too much hassle. After all, if you meet with clients, you don’t want to have to rely on Paypal or bank transfers to get the money. With a credit card reader, you can take it with you to meetings and trade shows to allow people to pay. That way, you won’t have to walk away from a sale as you didn’t have the right payment method.

A reliable extra pair of hands

It’s always a good idea to hire an additional pair of hands for your business. After all, you are going to be so busy doing everything for your business that you could do with an employee to help out.
