Check your Insurances

A business generally needs several different insurances, and it makes sense to do a review of all these insurances every once in a while. There are several reasons for this. First, you may be able to find a policy bt another provider that is less expensive. There may be ab way to consolidate all your different insurances into one big policy, which can make it easier to manage as well as save you money. There is also the possibility that you are oover-insured This may happen because you originally got out a type of insurance when you were a start-up that you subsequently did not need. If you have lots of different insurance, you may even have doubled up some of the covers. So, take a good look at your insurance and see if there is any scope to make a saving here.

Your Suppliers

Most businesses have several suppliers, and instead of blinding signing a new contract, why not do a little hunting around first. Remember to look for new office suppliers too. Once you have a good list of all the available suppliers, you can look to negotiate with your preferred one. You really don’t know what their margins are and how easily they can accommodate you. If your preferred supplier is your current supplier, they may be quite concerned about losing your custom. The onus is always on you to be proactive and be prepared to negotiate. There are always other suppliers like petroleum products company, who are more than happy to supply to you.

Technology

If you want to reduce costs, then you may need to implement some new technology. For example, automatic slow manual processes will free up one of your staff to do a more complicated task, thus reducing your staff costs. New technology and software is being invented all the time to not only help you reduce costs but to make you far more efficient. So, why not conduct a tasks audit and dissolve which tasks can be automated. Additionally, work out which tasks can be upgraded with new technology.

Marketing

Marketing has drastically changed over the past few years, and if you are still predominantly using traditional methods of marketing like T.V adverts and flyers, you may need to change your approach. Social media is a free source ready and available for marketing. All you need to do is create a suitable strategy.
