3 Ways to Find Peace

What does peace mean to you? For some people, finding peace is something that they do when they are sitting on the beach in what Jimmy ocean breathe. For other people, sinking into a hot bubble bath with a candle and some music going is the ultimate way to find peace. For others, it's going to church. Peace means the absence of mental stress or anxiety, so you have to find moments in life where everything feels calm, slow, and peaceful. We live in a very present and modern society, so finding peace in your life is often treated as a fad or something that really can't be achieved. 

You can find the best kind of peace when you use the right bath salts in your bath, or when you read the Living Church of God reviews and you know that you've picked the right church. Some people think you can't find peace. That piece is unattainable in this busy and digital world that is constantly on the go. It's not really true though. There are plenty of ways that you can find peace, and we've got some of those for you below.

  1. Learn to breathe deeply. We don't mean taking a big deep breath before you let out a sigh, but deep breathing is a method that has been around for centuries and it's a way to help to clear your mind and reduce your stress and anxiety. It's also used in a load of activities including meditation and yoga and even stretching. It can help to remove the stress from your body which is what you need, because when you are stressed your muscles become tense and your breathing becomes shallow and fast. You end up holding your breath, too but when you are not breathing you are not thinking and you need to think to feel calm.

  2. Go out of your way to avoid stress. You will always encounter stressful situations in life but if you can avoid them you absolutely should. If these people are stressing you out, then you need to learn to cut that stress out of your life even if it means letting go of a friendship or relationship. It doesn't matter how bad the situation is because you are in control of yourself and your actions. You can choose whether you find peace or whether you continue to escalate a dramatic situation. There is always going to be negativity out there, but you can make a point avoiding it.

  3. Learn to let go. Often, it's the unforgiven people and the unforgiven circumstances and situations that you hang onto that make you feel like you're out of control. It doesn't have to be your fault that you are stressed or anxious. The biggest problem is that what you have are often the ones that you hold onto in your mind because as humans we are hardwired to worry. You might think you're at your lowest point, but you're not. You just have to learn to let go of the stress and move forward.
