It’s surprising how easy it can be to overlook some simple things when it comes to the safety and security of your business premises. 1. Make sure you only use quality door and hardware fittings, such as locks and hinges, from recognized manufacturers. Don’t forget window locks too. All locks should be fitted by an expert locksmith. 

2. At close of play, before the last person leaves the premises, make sure everybody has left, and make sure that all doors and windows have been properly closed and locked. This is especially important if you’re closing for a few days, such as over the weekend. 

3. Anyone who has keys to the premises or work vehicles should never leave anywhere in the entrance area or hallway of the premises or their homes. 11. Keep proof of purchase for any office equipment, machinery, and other high-cost items. Photograph and record serial numbers. You may need this information for insurance claims.
